Training
Are you about to finish school and thinking about embarking on your professional career with a traineeship at Mitsubishi Electric?
You can spend three years with us training in a recognised occupation in accordance with Germany’s Vocational Training Act (BBiG).
Since 1987, we have been providing vocational training in Ratingen for the occupation of management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade. We will introduce you to the various topics associated with warehousing, international sales and marketing, and shipping. Our teams in the various departments will provide you with the appropriate product knowledge and show you how to work flexibly, independently and with focus as you support our customers, many of whom have been with us for years; help you to acquire new customers and develop new markets.
And from 2010, we will also be offering training as an IT assistant manager.
During this training, you will work to establish the problems and tasks that need to be solved within the company or a particular division using IT systems. You will be the “interface” between the operational organisation and IT: you will think commercially to analyse whether it actually makes financial sense to use IT and telecommunications-based systems.
You will use your IT expertise in the subsequent planning and implementation of the appropriate software solution.
Our training programme will give you an insight into the various departments in an international wholesale company, and make it easier for you to decide which particular field of activity matches your particular talents and skills. As a general rule: never ignore your own interests or inclinations. It is important to be motivated and enjoy what you do if you want to be successful.
During your training, you will go to vocational college twice a week on day release. Depending on your academic performance, you may be able to reduce your vocational training to 2½ years.
At the end of your training you will sit an examination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK).
And at the end of all this, your personal performance will decide whether we want to continue working with you after your training.
What do I need? Very well trained, highly motivated employees are the foundation for the successful development of our national and international activities. Which is why we are always on the lookout for dedicated trainees with good academic results.
As we are an international company, it is essential that you have a good basic knowledge of English.
